True Story of St. Patrick

Check out the true story of  St. Patrick.  I found this story while I was blog hopping and it's very interesting.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

One would think you wouldn't get pinched on St. Patrick's if you: 1) have green eyes, and  2) are Irish......... but.........NO........!!!!!  A very good friend of mine said it doesn't count unless you are WEARING green, so......... she pinched me.......OUCH!!!

I participated in a St. Patrick's Day swap on SplitCoastStampers called "Wanna Get Lucky?".  Here's what I made:

1)  Card

2a)  Door Blessing (front)

2b)  Door Blessing (back)

3a)  Tag (front)

3b)  Tag (back)

This is an arrangement I made using a depression glass cup and saucer, vintage postcard images, old floral pick (silver) and old lace.  Isn't she just the sweetest Irish lass!

Hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!!!

A Creatively Busy Day

Today was in fact a creatively busy day with my card making friends.  I did a LOT of cutting and dry embossing.  Now all the pieces need to be assembled and sentiments stamped, then I will take pictures and hopefully post a couple of them tomorrow.

I'm off to get busy assembling cards!

Forming a New Habit

I'm back to post again.  I've heard it takes 21 days to form a new habit and I'm working on forming the habit of regular posting on my new blog.

It's great to get together with my crop buddies so tonight was a lot of fun.  Tomorrow will allow more time of creating and laughing.  Hopefully I will get something completed to take pictures of so I can post them as well.

Off to bed for some shut-eye.  Tomorrow is going to be a creatively busy day!

More Than A Few Hours

I finally got all my Christmas decorations taken down, put back into their containers and moved to the garage.  Now it's my hubby's turn to put everything on racks and into the attic.  So glad my part of that is over with!

I've started getting out my supplies to create some Valentine goodies.  I have a few ideas floating around in my head and want to see them come to life soon.  Of course, I will have to take pictures and share them here on my new blog.

This weekend is packed with a two-day crop for scrapbookers and cardmakers in a little town approx. 15 miles from my house, so I need to organize everything I am taking by tomorrow afternoon.  That said........I'm off to do just that.........organize.

I'll be back tomorrow to post again!

A New Year ............ A New Blog

I made a 2012 resolution to have a new blog up and running in January, and here it is!!!

My main goal is to share with others my crafting creativity, whether it is through card making (my new interest), floral design, altered mini albums, collage, banners, doll making or any of my many other crafting outlets.  There are so many wonderfully creative people out in blog land that I have gleaned a lot of inspiration from and now I want to inspire others to create!

I will try to be diligent about regular posting.  Blogging is somewhat of a new endeavor for me and I need to form a habit of visiting my blog often and writing about my day and/or uploading pictures of my creations.  I also want to start an art journal, but blogging is my first priority.

I'll be back after a few good hours of  sleep!
